Paint and Varnish

20-26 Nov  2010 Began applying varnish to the fuselage and tail feathers. I used Stits Poly Fiber System Epoxy Varnish (EV-400 Epoxy Varnish). Its a two part system, 2 parts base varnish to 1 part catalyst. Wait thirty minutes then reduce by 50% with reducer. I applied one coat of reduced varnish to the entire fuselage and tail feathers and applied most of the second coat with no reduction. However, after two (2) quarts of varnish, I ran out with about half of the second coat to apply. I had to order more. The system requires a light sanding if the second coat is not applied within  4 days of the first coat, so a light sanding will be in order when it comes in.Hours: 4.0
